In 2017, tutors from Winchester School of Art gathered to establish The Company, which can create cross-programme, collaborative, student-led, co-curricular activities annually. Students from across PG programmes form a company to organise, produce and deliver events across the university.
Over the years, the company has organised several events in schools and across the university and has collaborated with several external bodies for the sponsorship and organisation of the events, including Winchester City Council, Solent University, makeup and styling and fashion brands.
How we work
The Company holds several events including fashion shows, public events, and university-wide events.
Students usually start three months in advance of the main event, which is a fashion show (an opportunity for the practice base students to showcase their garments) and take on all the roles of forming various teams.
